Microsoft Outlook & Exchange
Setup |
Internet Mail Service Setup: If you
have Microsoft Exchange: 1. Right click on the Inbox icon on your
desktop 2. Click on Properties and continue on to step
3. If you have Microsoft Outlook: 1. Double click on
Outlook icon 2. Click on Tools, Services and continue
on to step 3.
3. If Internet Mail is not listed in the
Services tab, go to step 4. If Internet Mail is listed in the Services tab,
click on Internet Mail and then click on Properties and go to step
7 to verify your present configuration. 4. Click on Add from the
Services tab 5. Click on Internet Mail to add this service to your
profile 6. Click on OK 7. From the Internet Mail window,
type the following information in the fields provided: From the
General Tab: Personal
Information: Full Name: Type your full name
here E-mail Address: Type your email address here as provided by
EagleNet Mailbox Information: Internet Mail
Server: enia.net Account Name: Type your username here Password: Type your
password here From the Connection
Tab: Verify that the box Connect using the
modem is checked Verify that the Dial using the following
connection is set to your EagleNet Dial-Up connection Click on Login
As and type your username and password, and then click on OK 8.
Click OK again to save these settings 9. Click on Show
Profiles 10.Choose Internet Mail Settings under "When starting
Microsoft Exchange use this profile:" 11.Click on Close
Using Microsoft Exchange for Internet
E-mail: 1. Dial in to EagleNet’s Internet Server as you usually
do 2. Double click on your Inbox on your Desktop 3. Once you are
using Microsoft Exchange, you can click on Tools, Options from within the
program to setup the software specifically for how you would like to use it.
(TIP: You may want to leave these set at their defaults until after you have had
a chance to use the software for a while.) 4. To learn more about Microsoft
Exchange you can: Click on Help and then click on Internet Mail

You have four separate folders within Microsoft
Exchange which you will use. These are: 1. InBox: This is
where all of your incoming mail is stored until you read and delete it. 2.
OutBox: This is where all of your outgoing mail sits and waits
until you send it. 3. Sent: This is where a copy of all your
outgoing mail is stored. 4. Deleted: This is where a copy of
all your incoming mail is stored until you physically delete it from our server
(Note: remember that each EagleNet Internet account comes with a specific amount
of server storage space for e-mail, web pages, etc. You should make it a
practice to clean out your Deleted folder whenever it exceeds this
limit.)
Sending your first e-mail
message: 1. Double click on the Inbox icon to open Microsoft
Exchange 2. Click on the Envelope icon on the menu bar (or click on
Compose from the menu, and then select New Message) 3. A
screen will appear, this is your e-mail editor. From within this screen click on
the To button. 4. From within the Address Book window, click on
New located on the bottom left. 5. Select Internet Mail Address
from the box. 6. Click on OK 7. Type in the name of the recipient
in the Display Name: box 8. Type the e-mail address of the recipient
in the Email Address box 9. Click OK to save your this name in
your Personal Address Book 10.Type in the Subject of your e-mail
message 11.Type in the Message that you want to send in the body of
the message 12.When you are done typing your message, click on the Send
icon (first icon on the menu bar...looks like a flying envelope). 13.To
see if your message was sent, double click on your Outbox. If it is
sitting there yet, waiting to be sent, click on Tools, then click on
Deliver Now (you may have to choose Using, and Internet Mail
if you are using Exchange for other things) 14.Congratulations! Your mail
should now be on it’s way!
Retrieving your E-mail messages: 1.
Double click on the Inbox icon to open Microsoft Exchange 2. Double
click on the e-mail you’d like to read 3. Use the icons on the Toolbar to
Reply to Sender or to Delete your message NOTE: If your e-mail
is not there and you think it should be, you can double check your e-mail Inbox
on our server at any given moment by clicking on Tools, then Deliver
Now (you may have to choose Using, and Internet Mail if you
are using Exchange for other things) |
